To take the photos, I used a Nikon D3100 DSLR camera, which gave me good quality photos. I used the artificial standard light in the room, rather than the camera flash or natural light. I took 20 pictures of each girl, to give myself plenty of pictures to choose from, and I took each picture at a medium close-up shot, as this is the type of shot that would be expected from a photo booth.
I asked my actors to wear plain, pale, casual tops. The style of the top relates to the photo booth theme, because young people would usually choose to take photos in a photo booth whilst pulling silly faces when they are out casually on day trips or shopping trips with their friends. The colour of the top connotes their youthful innocence and cleansed soul, resulting in their 'happy faces'.
